Creating a design system presents challenges such as maintaining consistency across platforms, achieving team adoption, managing process changes, maintaining flexibility, documenting and upkeep of the system, gathering feedback, and continuously improving. These challenges require a collaborative approach, adequate training, and effective change management to ensure the design system is effectively adopted and remains relevant over time.
